Listed is an OE Borg & Beck 6 1/2 inch diaphragm clutch kit as STANDARD replacement for 1275 midget sprite ... hk9632....or as an upgrade** for 948 998 1098 Morris minor midget sprite etc.
This 6.5 kit uses the high-offset release bearing ( a carbon one is included free in the kit along with better quality clips)... this high offset bearing is approx one inch off-set (from the centre of axis of rotation to the face of the carbon). The photos show a roller bearing as OPTIONAL EXTRA, NOT INCLUDED (see below)
In a 1275, the standard OE is a CARBON thrust (release) bearing, but the rolloer bearing is a higher quality part.

** 948/998 upgrade . If you have a very high performance 948 motor, this kit will fit with minor mods to the flywheel (drill 3 new holes). When fitting this to a 948, you have the same options with release bearing as with the 1275 above.
** Upgrade 1098. Here, a mod to flywheel (harder); or poss a change to a 948 flywheel, then the slight mod to fit this.
The release bearing ...

(1) Use the the carbon bearing supplied which is free.
(2) I supply a specially made roller bearing as in the photos above for diaphragm clutches... made in the UK to correct 1275 specs for street and pro racing. These are made "longer" to operate directly on the fingers, further away, and do away with the whole little clutch-release-plate scenario. You actually CUT THE CRP OFF this pressure-plate . These Release-bearings cost $139 (gst incl) . THEY ARE NOT PART OF THIS SALE.
# The offset is 1275 and should be easily usable. There are various ways to do slight adjustments (see below in the lower # too.You may wish to read the article in "948 carbon release bearing" for relevant info on free-play (all types)
Please remember with mods for upgrading, you are fitting an ?incorrect? part? there is nothing wrong with this and the result is well worth the effort I assure you!!! But, please? if you don?t have the mechanical skill / initiative / acumen / improvisational skills / enjoyment?whatever!!? don?t do it as I cannot guide you through the process. Exact details on upgrades is beyond the scope of this sale. I will give you a sheet on what to do basically, you can read my items on release bearing particularly the 948 carbon one and there is loads of info on the net. Thanks
