never breaks AXLE AUSTIN A30 EN17 AXLES A35 if yr midget is pre67 in EAST FREMANTLE, Western Australia for sale

Car parts

The price below is for a pair. This listing is for two, as axles are only sold as a pair.
Axles for A30s and early Midgets that NEVER break... (pre '67 midgets and all a30/A35 had EN8 or EN7) . These are EN17s... a pair of axles, correct-side-of-car marked, and from the same car... from a late model high-power car..... (sorry, not wire-wheel)...
...If you put these in your A30 or A35, sprite or midget you will NEVER and I mean NEVER break an axle again.
Don?t even talk to me about the crappo EN8 ones (before I discovered these)? let?s see, one axle broke simply driving along? another axle broke when I went slightly up a kerb, another about 5 seconds after a corner, another again just driving along?. but the EN17s have NEVER let me down? and one of my cars is now up to 118 / 135 momentary* hp!!!! (cannot put in Morris minor, diff same but halfshafts/axles couple inches longer) (EN17 have EN17 in raised letters on the outside of the axle flange... and/or a groove on outer edge, EN8 have no steel-grade number... see below # for article on steel)
If you've ever had to (1) sit for 2 hours waiting for the tow truck (2) pay him $150 (3) pull it all to pieces including the diff (4) clean it all out in case filings are in there (5) hope you haven't buggered the diff already with chunks rolling around. (6) then have it happen again a few weeks later, then you will know how annoying the old EN8s are. They break without warning, often doing nothing at all. It is so annoying when it happens. Your diff is precious and super-expensive to reset/fit/fix/replace... so protect it with decent 150HP axles. These will NOT break, they run in cars with 3 to 4 times the horses you have.
Straight fit in... easy... no diff pull-out, just clean the faces of the axles thoroughly and use silicone sparingly. You can buy ALL axle and diff gaskets, O-rings, hub seals, even the nuts for hub (hub not necessary to pull apart) from me... Remember early ones don't use o-ring, simply smear silicone on all four surfaces each side ? wipe sparingly two fingers?, (clean thoroughly solvent on two metal surfaces first). I get sealing better this way than with O?ring. Easy as....
These are one of the best buys you will ever make for your A30 or early sprite midget etc... I have made sure that the sides were carefully marked as they came out of the sprites by the original breaker. Local dealers are charging $480 to $620 a pair on a ringaround... .
Most seller don't care about the sides, mainly because they're unaware of it. There are ways of seeing which side an axle has probably spent its life in, but by far the easiest way is not to muddle them up in the first place. Why does it matter? An EN8 will snap in a month if swapped, the EN17 may never snap if reversed, but it introduces unnecessary stresses. The steel slowly fatigues and stresses in a rotational way at the molecular level as you continually stress it by making it turn a ton-weight, so you can imagine suddenly switching the direction makes it unhappy. It can put up with a reversal to some extent... I mean... when you compression brake it is essentially reversing forces, but its all about percentages and percentage duty cycle... why up the ante??.
